The Virtuous Woman Series, Part 3

Love is….

Proverbs 31:12 "She shall do him good and not evil all the days of her life."

We've all seen her - I hope none of us are her!!! The Roseanne type of woman. Nag, nag, nag.

Her house is a mess, her kids are a mess, the bills piled high, she spends most of her time gossiping on the phone - gossiping with her friends about her friends, her kids and her husband.  She has nothing good to say about very many people, and there’s not much good to be said about her, either.

As a matter of fact, the less said, the better (and safer!) it is.
The virtuous woman loves her husband. According to 1 Corinthians, these are the qualities of love: long-suffering, kind, not envious, isn't hasty, doesn't put herself first, isn't puffed-up with pride, isn't loud and obnoxious.  She has an unconditional love for him, she isn't easily provoked, she would never think badly of him because she loves him!

She is thrilled to see him walking with the Lord, and prays for him when his human nature is displayed more than his godliness.

She knows she can hang onto the end - no matter what.  She isn't scornful, she believes the very best is yet to come! She endures, she is willing to believe that health comes after sickness sometimes, and bad times come as sure as the good.   Among people, she puts him first in her life, first in her heart and first in her affections.  Their children honor him because of her example.

She will always be there. Her husband can take that to the bank.
