The Virtuous Woman Series, Part 2

Simply Trusting

Back to Websters again, Spoil - 1 plunder, booty. 2 rob, pillage. 3 to damage seriously: ruin. 4 to impair the quality or effect of. 5 to damage the disposition of by pampering: indulge, coddle. 6 decay, rot.

Our virtuous woman is a woman to be trusted.  Her husband trusts in her so much that it's in his heart, he doesn't even have to think about it!  It's evident in their children, their bank accounts, their household, and the love she shows him.

Their children are obedient, not spoiled. He has no reason to fear that they are the neighborhood brats. She lives her life before them in a Godly manner.
Christ is mirrored in her walk and her talk.

Proverbs 31:11 "The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil." (KJV)

"My God, please give me Your strength to be the woman You have called me to be. Holy before You, Holy in all I do. Because I trust in You, I will believe that You will do just that for me.  Thank You that when I fall, You not only pick me up, You are ready to put me back on the path You have laid out for me. Thank You for Your mercy, thank You for Your grace. Thank You for being a God I can turn to. I love You." Amen

He knows that the money that she spends is spent thriftily. Their needs are more than met because she is wise with her ways.

He knows that his affections are safe with her, and hers with him. His reputation is safe because hers is.

She is truly a virtuous woman. Being bought with the blood of Jesus, which is far greater than gold, she knows that her value is priceless, unmerited and worth living for.

1 Peter 3:1-4 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation (actions) of the wives; While they uphold your chaste conversation coupled with fear (of God). Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of

the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price." (parenthesis are mine) (KJV)

The virtuous woman is more worried about her inner beauty than her outer beauty. She worships the living God and is sure that her ways are attuned to His.

And because she trusts God, her husband can trust her.
