Have you ever seen a tapestry? The rich weavings of thread that create a picture look beautiful when viewed from the front. Turn the tapestry over, and the picture looks distorted because the threads don't seem to be in place.
God is working a tapestry for our lives. His needle goes in and out, different threads for different parts of the picture, different colors to weave in fullness of design. Sometimes the colors are vibrant and rich and alive and are mountaintop experiences, and sometimes they are plain and common and painful or “just there”, but each thread weaves its place into the tapestry to make the picture whole.
Allowing God to work His tapestry in us is always our choice. We can decide that we don't like the needle poking us. We can decide that the color isn't the color we want. We can take His tapestry off, and put on our own shoddy rags. It's our choice. It always was. However, a missing thread would create an emptiness in the tapestry.
We can never learn to forgive until we have received forgiveness and had a need to give it to someone else. We can never learn to give until we’re willing to let go. We can never comfort another person until we’ve experienced loss. Every thing, every person that God weaves into the tapestry of our lives is there for a purpose – His purpose. Our job is trust His needle and give Him full reign over the minutes and days of our lives as He weaves the threads together.

| Eve saw another picture than the one God had planned when the serpent explained that the tree really did have good fruit. She removed God's tapestry and replaced it with the serpent's lie, and we've been paying for it ever since.
The Woman of Courage, the Woman of God knows that she cannot create life for herself, so she allows God to cover her with His tapestry, He shows her the colors to use. Her only job is to obediently, willingly and thankfully follow His design.
He covers her with the silk of His riches and the purple of His Majesty and she is a beautiful woman indeed.

Oh, thank You God, for the God You are. Thank You for Your beauty that covers us. Thank You that You are a God who loves me so much that You are interested in every little detail. Thank You that You have a detailed plan for my life, and all I have to do is to trust You. Cover me, Lord. Amen
